A Performance of "Mathemagic"

In a lively show, mathemagician Arthur Benjamin races a team of calculators to figure out 3-digit squares, solves another massive mental equation and guesses a few birthdays. How does he do it? He’ll tell you.

What did you think about his "magic"?
Why do you think he used words like "cookie" at the end when trying to figure out a numerical problem?

I thought his magic was incredible. At first i thought he was asking people who knew what they were going to say already, like a cheat, but then when he did it out on the last one i believed him.
He used cookie because he took a number (ex: 368) and converted it into cookie through "kinetic energy" Then when he wanted to remember 368 he said cookie. #rainman

I think it was fantastic because he could muiltiplie 5 digit numbers times its self and get it correct. I think he used cookie because to get to cookie you would have to times numbers to get to cookie.I also think he used cookie is that he said cookie efficient
